Spaceman, a new theme for portaliks

In the next release of portaliks (0.4), we will have a new theme: spaceman. Originally developed for wordpress, this theme was edited to fit into portaliks specifications.

Thanks to Aldo "aldolat" Latino for the permission to use his own theme.

We are pleased to announce the new release of portaliks, 0.3.0. There are many changes in this release:

  • WYSIWYG editor updated to TinyMCE 3.0.5 (multilanguage)
  • List of uploaded images in editor
  • URL rewrite improved
  • Categories links in posts
  • Sitemap for google (see sitemap.php)
  • Comments in RSS feeds
  • Themes with html code



portaliks-it

From today Italian users of portaliks have a localized website of portaliks, portaliks-it. All posts, pages and documentation of portaliks will be translated in Italian there.



New themes system in portaliks 0.3.0

The next version of portaliks, 0.3.0, will contains a new theme system, based on a php layout file instead of a css file.

In this mode a blog made with portaliks will be entirely customizable. Other feature will be an automatic generated sitemap for google bot.

I fixed a bug in RSS Feed on 0.2.1 relase. This update consists of 0.2.2 release.

New logo for portaliks

This is the new logo for portaliks (used in Launchpad and as favicon.ico). It's based on an Oxygen icon plus a screenshot of portaliks website.



Portaliks on Launchpad

I set up the portaliks project on Launchpad. It will be used to develop portaliks (undeer Bazaar version control system), and to manage bugs and answers.



How to use sqlite with portaliks 0.2.0

Now, during the installation, portaliks ask you if use mysql or sqlite as database. If you choose sqlite, the only thing to set up is the name of the database file. Use a random name to improve security (however, file is created with 0600 permissions). Simply copy the entire folder of portaliks you can backup your blog.

We are pleased to announce the new release of portaliks, 0.2.0. This is a very big update. Now portaliks supports also sqlite database, image thumbnailing in file browser, pages can be external links, etc.
